Terms of service

These terms cover the work we do for you. When you hire us or use our site, you agree to them. The details of each project, such as scope, price, and timing, live in the quote or agreement we send you. Where that agreement and these terms differ, the agreement wins.
What we do
We design, build, host, and support websites. We agree the scope of each project in writing before we start. Work outside that scope is quoted separately.
What we need from you
We need timely content, feedback, and access to get the work done. If those are late, the timeline moves with them. You are responsible for making sure the content and materials you give us are yours to use.
Payment
We invoice as set out in your agreement. Invoices are due within the time stated on them. We may pause work on overdue accounts until payment is made.
Ownership
Once you have paid in full, the final website and the custom work we made for you are yours. We keep the rights to our own tools, code libraries, and methods, and to any third party components, which stay under their own licenses. We may show the finished work in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.
Support and hosting
We aim to keep hosted sites running well, but we cannot promise they will never go down, since parts of that depend on third party providers. Ongoing support and hosting continue on the terms and fees we agree, and either side can end them with reasonable notice.
Liability
We do our work with care. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or knock on losses, and our total liability for a project is limited to the amount you paid us for it.
Ending a project
Either side can end a project in writing. If you end it partway, you pay for the work done up to that point.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version always lives on this page, with the date at the top.
